ENTERTAINMENT NEWS:T S Darbari, the Commonwealth Games' Joint-Director General, who was sacked in the wake of the corruption scandal that has hit October's extravaganza in Delhi [ Images ], sought to clear himself any wrongdoing on Wednesday, saying he was not involved in any dealing with A M Films and is being made a "scapegoat".
"My role in the LondonQBR launch was ceremonial. It had nothing to do with any negotiation of shortlisting of vendors or financial transaction or imbursement or recommendation of advance," he said.
"This is a tragedy the way things have been projected. Whatever has happened, it is unfortunate. I'm unnecessary being targetted and being made a scapegoat," he said.

He has provided us some of our greatest hits in the last few years, and there is a kind of expectancy built up around any new release of his. In 2010 we are eagerly awaiting the release of his wife, Kiran Rao’s maiden directorial venture Dhobi Ghat.
Not much is known about this film, apart from the fact that it stars Smita and Raj Babbar’s son Prateik Babbar in it. The film is based in Mumbai’s famous Dhobi Ghat locality, a crowded area full of families which live in close proximity to each other.
It is believed that there are 4 leading characters in this film and Aamir is just one of them.

Padmini Kolhapure's pretty baby sister was signed on for a prominent role as Ravi Kissan's wife in the movie. She spent two-and-half gruelling months away from home and husband (filmmaker-actor Pankaj Saraswat) in the jungles shooting for 'Raavan'.
The end-result - one passing shot, lasting no more than five seconds in a wedding song. Surely this must rank as the most abbreviated role in the history of Hindi cinema!
One of Tejaswini's co-stars in 'Raavan' says: 'At least Tejaswini is visible in one shot. Poor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, at his age, he was on location in the jungles for 90 days. He doesn't even have one scene in the film. And what about poor Sachin Khedekar, who is there for just one scene as Abhishek's father? He also played Aishwarya's father in Guru and had his role chopped off because Mani wanted to focus on the Abhishek-Aishwarya story.'

Music Review: 'Chance Pe Dance'
The album contains seven originals and two remix versions.It opens with "Pe pe pepein" that starts with typical wedding music in the background. A Western song with rap by Hard Kaur and vocals by Master Saleem and Neeraj Sridhar, "Pe pe pepein" has a strong Punjabi flavour. It's a fast-paced song and slowly grows on you.
The song also has a remix version that adds more beats and makes it a perfect dance number.
Next is "Pump it up" with Vishal Dadlani behind the mike. The song has a punch and starts with a bang. It's a full-on dance number with a mix of dhol and electronic guitaring.
This track too has a remix version which is faster and includes more orchestration.
Up next is a slow love ballad "Pal mein hi", which is beautifully crooned by Soham Chakrabarthy and Shreya Ghoshal. The song brings in a tranquillising effect. It's a sweet and pleasing romantic number that touches a chord with the listener.
Then we have another fast track in the guise of "One more dance". The song sung by Kunal Ganjawala is not that impressive. The song has a techno feel and is meant for the dance floor; it, however, fails to create an impact and falls flat.
It is followed by "Yaba Daba Yahoo". Sung by Kunal Ganjawala, it takes the dance flavour of the album further. A fun number, it has a heavy dose of English lyrics.
"Rishta hai mera", sung by Shaan and Tulsi Kumar, changes the mood of the album. It's a soft, smooth song. An inspirational number, "Rishta hai mera" is a melodious composition and generates interest.
Finally there is "Just do it". High on electronic arrangements, the song has been crooned by Amit Kumar and director Ken Ghosh has composed it. It has influences of hip hop and is a dance number yet gain.
On the whole, if you want to dance away to glory, then 'Chance Pe Dance' is the album you are looking for.

Rahman will be given the award Dec 21 at Hotel Taj Palace in the capital. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be the chief guest at the occasion.
Katrina Free from hospital after minor surgery
The actress was admitted to the hospital Wednesday night, prior to which she had been advised bed rest."Katrina has just been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital and is completely fine now. Because of her system's low haemoglobin level, she had to undergo a small surgical procedure. She's resting at home, after which she will take off for her annual Christmas break," Katrina's spokesperson said in a statement.
The actress was recently seen in hit film 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' and her next is Prakash Jha's 'Rajneeti'.
Room to Aamir Khan proves costly for hotel
Lucknow, Dec 16 (IANS) A hotel in Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district is in trouble for providing a room to Bollywood star Aamir Khan without establishing his identity.Police have served a notice to the owner of Saraswati Hotel, seeking an explanation for “flouting the basic rules for allotment of rooms in a hotel”, a police officer said Wednesday.
For promoting his forthcoming movie “3 Idiots”, Aamir Khan Saturday roamed around Varanasi district in the guise of an elderly Maulana.
He stayed in the Sarawsati hotel in adjoining Mugalsarai town, some 300 km from Lucknow.
“It’s a security lapse. We want to know how the rooms were booked when the claimants did not reveal their true identity. Prior to allotting the rooms, the hotel staff must have checked their ID proof,” Chandauli police chief Lakshmi Narayan told reporters.
“Prima facie, it is a clear case of not following procedural norms related to security measures. For this the license of the hotel could be cancelled,” he added.
According to police, in the name of Akram Shah and Co, seven rooms were booked for Aamir and his team in the hotel. The actor arrived in Varanasi Friday and headed to other destination Sunday.
