The 2010 ESPYs welcomed "Saturday Night Live" star Seth Meyers as the host -- and his opening monologue was absolutely hysterical. Why can't the Emmys, Oscars or Golden Globes find something like this?
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren were popular topics. In running down the "big" sports moments form the year, Meyers mentioned that "Tiger Woods was in a minor car accident." He also cracked that the free agent who would get the biggest payday would be Elin Nordegren. He ended his monologue with a mention that Tiger Woods is gearing up for the British Open, which starts Thursday, July 15 -- "so give it up for Tiger Woods ... if you haven't already."
Turning to athletes who were at the awards, Seth observed that Reggie Bush, Landon Donovan and Drew Brees were there -- all the guys on your girlfriend's exception list. He also told Drew Brees that it was great his Saints won their first Super Bowl championship and helped New Orleans heal from the Hurricane Katrina tragedy -- now because of the Gulf Oil Spill, they need to win the next 50.
